The Mettmann city archive is the memory of the city of Mettmann and the former Hubbelrath administrative district. We continuously take on documents from the city administration that are of lasting value for the city's history and historical research. In addition to official documents, estates, newspapers, photographs and other contemporary documents are also collected, organised, archived and analysed. The archive has around 900 linear metres of archive material, which is accessible to all citizens. After all, in addition to archiving, our tasks also include making the archive material available to the public.
We are always happy to accept archival documents, photographs and postcards relating to Mettmann from private collections to expand our archive.
