Take part
It is possible for interested archive users to participate in so-called crowdsourcing projects of the Landesarchiv Nordrhein-Westfalen on a voluntary basis. The principle of crowdsourcing relies on the knowledge of the many; it means outsourcing archival indexing tasks to a group of voluntary users via the Internet. The working method is collaborative, which means that the final result is the result of several people working together. The crowdsourcing projects are supervised and supported by contact persons at the Landesarchiv.

Seeking non-governmental documents
In addition to government documents, the Landesarchiv can also accept non-official archive material of public interest. For historical research, authentic sources from areas of life that are not or insufficiently documented in government records are of particular interest. Do you, your family or your association/organisation have any documents that fit the Landesarchiv's collection profile?
