The State Archives of North Rhine-Westphalia have a legal mandate to advise the public authorities and courts of this federal state on the management of written records. This includes, in particular, organising and monitoring such management, the selection and proper storage of paper documents, the introduction of electronic systems and any removal of documents from such systems. The State Archives of North Rhine-Westphalia hold training events for public authorities as well as individual consultancy sessions. Important information is made available in the form of leaflets.
